Another Public Art in Old Town
The Old Town art fair will happen in the Jun 11 and 12. This art work should be an opening for this event and it was installed last Tuesday. Anyway, yesterday on my way to school I faced this new sculpture and surprised me. It is made with iron cords and it seems to be a slave women glued in the land but the at the same time reflects a movement on its shade. It is located at the same park as the Renaissance Man.
Come to Old Towm! Will be fun!

Public Art in Chicago

This Public Art was created for a local artist called Boban Illic. The name of the sculpture is the "Renaissance Man". It is located in a small park at Burton St at the corner of Wells St in Old Town. I live in a condo just in front of the park and on my way to school I usually stop by and pay attention on this amazing figure. What impressed me is it's movement like the man was in a dancing position, and also the impressive metalic material used which shines in the sunny days.
MCA Reflexion

I had a great experience into the Museum. The exibiths are interactive and we could appreciate diferents comtemporary artist styles and approaches. The diversity of materials and interpretation of the lifestyle were very rich and combined our senses to make the audience feels the creation in their total dimension. The museum exhiles comtemporary art mixing sounds, architecture, design, sculpture and painting on the exhibits. Moreover, on the store they offer a variety of comtemporary art objects and housewares with a very creative design. For sure, I will became a member!

Frida

I saw the movie "FRIDA". The movie is about Frida Kahlo's life. She's is consider one of gratest paintings in Mexico. The movie began when she was an adolescent at school , and how she first met her future husband , the famous mexican wall-painting Diego Rivera. Her life was dammed after getting many physical injuries after a bus accident. The movie relates how she started painting self-portraits in order to express her feelings in a very painful situation. Her marriage was very turbulent with many time-outings. However, Diego encouraged her to do expose her work and to start her artist career.

`LOVE

I chose the Sculpture called "The Kiss"By a french artist called Auguste Rodin. Its a marble sculpture made in 1889 and is exposed at Musee Rodin in Paris. The first version was made in Bronze as a part of the portal called the Gates of Hell. The sculpture is called oriniginally, "Francesca Rimini", who falled in love with her husband's young brother. It's a betrayal story. The couple's lips never touched which suggest that their love was interrupted when her husband discovered the betrayal. I saw this sculpture at the Museum and never forgot how it impressed me because Rodin showed a scene of sharing love in a sentimentalist way without any erotism appeal.
